We're Hiring! Economic Development Executive Administrative Assistant

Be a part of shaping the future of the Boise Metro, partner closely with leaders in the region, and work in a fast-paced culture where every day is different. The Boise Valley Economic Partnership, a division of the Boise Metro Chamber, is a regional economic development organization whose goal is to keep, grow, and attract new jobs, investment, and talent in the Boise metro area. We are looking for a part-time executive administrative assistant to join our team.


The Executive Administrative Assistant will be influential in helping organize data and assist in administrative support for BVEP. The successful candidate will become an integral part of a small, agile, and high-achieving team that values integrity, hard work, fun, family, and respect for one another. Meet the BVEP Team:

Clark Krause, Executive Director

Clark Krause has been the Executive Director of the Boise Valley Economic Partnership (BVEP) since 2010.  In that time, Clark has been instrumental in creating a new mission based on measurable and accountable actions and goals.  In the past six plus years, our organization has welcomed 23 companies and over 4,300 jobs to the Boise Metro. 

Clark has been on dozens of national sales missions promoting the Boise Valley to companies and site consultants, built a marketing program & Public Relations outreach and actively advocates for local and statewide programs that will jumpstart economic-based job growth in our communities.  He was also instrumental in helping pass two new state incentives: the Idaho Opportunity Fund and the Tax Reimbursement Incentive.  Clark's knowledge of state incentive programs has helped Idaho become a nationally competitive player in economic development. Clark’s Team has created “Grow. Ideas. Here.”, an initiative that launched in 2014 to assist local Boise Metro companies attract new workforce talent.

In 2017, Clark redesigned the organization, strategically adding two workforce talent experts to the team; BVEP is now uniquely positioned to help companies in the next decade grow workforce talent. An organization dedicated to helping the community grow, find and keep the talent needs of the future. 

Clark came to BVEP with a strong history and experience in economic development, spending 7 years as President and CEO of the New Mexico Partnership. During his tenure at the New Mexico Partnership, Clark and his team were tasked with out of state recruitment of economic-based jobs into New Mexico. Under his leadership, the Partnership attracted 45 companies and created over 14,000 jobs in the state. Prior to his time in New Mexico, Clark was the Director of Economic Development for Cedar City/Iron County, Utah, where he recruited nine companies, 1,150 jobs and $185 million worth of industrial development.  He also spent seven years as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Brian Head Ski Resort in southern Utah, and ten years in sales and marketing for American Honda Motor Corporation and Ford Motor Company.

Charity Nelson, Director of Economic Development

Charity Nelson joined BVEP in February of 2016 and brought her passion for the people side of business into the organization. As the Director of Economic Development she leads business attraction projects, providing site selectors and companies vetting our region with the crucial data and context they seek. She also serves as an advocate for local businesses who have talent attraction and acquisition needs.

Prior to joining BVEP, Charity spent 10+ years in Human Resources at Micron Technology, Inc. Her tenure at Micron included roles in recruiting, organizational effectiveness and talent acquisition strategy. She has experience in both domestic and global talent acquisition with skill sets ranging from manufacturing to specialized engineering. 

Charity is dedicated to improving her community, empowering people and improving organizations. She sits on the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run and participates on several advisory boards. She also participates in formal and informal mentoring programs for professionals in the Valley. She was raised in Idaho, graduating from Meridian High School. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Communication and a Master of Arts degree in Communication both from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Ethan Mansfield, Project & Research Manager

Ethan joined the BVEP staff in May 2017 as our Project and Research Manager. Ethan brings his passion for community and regional economics along with workforce solutions and demographics expertise to round out our unique team. Ethan frequently brought depth of talent research, data analysis and context to our site selection process in his previous role as Regional Economist for the Idaho Department of Labor.

Ethan grew up in Treasure Valley and attended Boise High School. He completed his undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and Economics at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, where he focused on natural resource economics. He also completed a Regional Planning Program with a focus in Economic and Community Development at the University of Idaho in Moscow. He recently finished his master’s thesis about economic base theory and economic development in the Rocky Mountain West. As an economist, his research was focused on the employment and wage dynamics in the high-tech and health care sectors as well as migration and Idaho’s demographic composition.

Lisa Holland, Marketing & Content Manager

Lisa has been with the Boise Valley Economic Partnership since April 2011 and is currently the Marketing & Content Manager. In this role, among her many responsibilities is to increase the resources and depth of information available to businesses, contacts and the community. In addition, she is also responsible for assisting in project management, stakeholder and community relations, as well as coordinating many of BVEP's events.

Lisa has been a large part of building the brand for BVEP through the design and maintenance of sites like and, both recognized by the IEDC with a Gold Award for best websites in 2012 and 2014, respectively.  Prior to working at BVEP, Lisa had experience working at Delta Dental of Idaho in sales and community outreach.  

Fostering ideas and innovation is one of Lisa’s passion, which was seen when she participated in b|launched in 2012 and helped co-launch Be Free Village, a gluten-free startup.  Lisa is a graduate of Northwest Nazarene University (NNU), with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in management. Most recently, Lisa graduated with an MBA in Design Strategy from California College of the Arts, because she is passionate about taking creative approaches to problems and looking at the world of business in a different light.

Austin Andreasen, Administrative Assistant

Austin joined the Boise Valley Economic Partnership in October of 2017 as the Economic Development Administrative Assistant. Austin helps keep the team organized as he manages the database, assists with event planning, and works to enhance office efficiency.

Austin completed his undergraduate degree in Corporate Finance and Business Management from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. He is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration degree from Boise State University and is expected to graduate in May of 2019. Austin is a part of various clubs and associations including Boise Young Professionals, Finance & Management Association, and the B Corp Certification program. Prior to starting with BVEP, Austin spent over 2 years in the Mortgage and Loan Servicing department at Idaho Central Credit Union. His time at Idaho Central included roles in assisting members with their homeowners insurance and ensuring accuracy of mortgage documents.

Todd Cooper, 2017 Board Chairman

Todd Cooper is a Senior Vice President and Idaho Region Business Banking manager for Wells Fargo.  He is responsible for the Business Banking team serving Idaho Region businesses with annual revenues up to $20 million, and Specialty Units serving governments, non-profits and professionals.  The team is housed in five Business Banking offices across the Idaho Region.

Cooper is a 27-year veteran of Wells Fargo and has served in a number of positions including commercial loan officer, Business Banking Manager for the Treasure Valley, and Western Division Sales Manager for the Auto Finance Group where he led a team of regional sales managers in nine western states.  He also currently chairs the Recruiting and Hiring committee of the national Business Banking Diversity and Inclusion council.

Cooper earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and master’s degree in business administration from Idaho State University.  He also is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School and the American Bankers Association’s National Consumer Finance School.

An active community volunteer, Cooper is a board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ada County, Boise Valley Economic Partnership and Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the leadership board for the College of Business and Economics at Idaho State University.
