Clark Krause, Executive Director
Clark Krause has been the Executive Director of the Boise Valley Economic Partnership (BVEP) since September 2010. In that time, Clark has been instrumental in restructuring the organization, and creating a new mission based on measurable and accountable actions and goals. In the past four years, our organization has welcomed 11 companies and over 2,000 jobs to the Boise Metro.
Clark has been on dozens of national sales missions promoting the Boise Valley to companies and consultants, rebuilt the marketing program & Public Relations outreach, coordinated a new effort to assist valley entrepreneurs, and actively advocates for local and statewide programs that will jumpstart economic-based job growth in our communities. He was also instrumental in helping pass two new incentives through Idaho's legislature with the Idaho Opportunity Fund and the Tax Reimbursement Incentive. Clark's knowledge of state incentive programs has helped Idaho be more competitive in economic development. Out of Clark’s leadership, GrowIdeasHere.com was launched in 2014 as an initiative to assist local Boise Valley tech companies in attracting talent. Showcasing a day in the life, the website identifies six personalities of tech talent that live and thrive in the Boise Metro.
Clark came to BVEP with a strong history and experience in economic development, most recently as the former President and CEO of the New Mexico Partnership. During six and half years with the New Mexico Partnership, Clark and his team were tasked with out of state recruitment of economic-based jobs into New Mexico. Under his leadership, the Partnership attracted 45 companies and created over 14,000 jobs in the state. Prior to his time in New Mexico, Clark was the Director of Economic Development for Cedar City/Iron County, Utah, where he recruited nine companies, 1,150 jobs and $185 million worth of industrial development. He also spent seven years as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Brian Head Ski Resort in southern Utah, and ten years in sales and marketing for American Honda Motor Corporation and Ford Motor Company.

Charity Nelson, Project & Strategy Manager
Charity Nelson joined BVEP in February of 2016 as the Project and Strategy Manager responsible for developing and implementing new talent attraction programs to support local companies in their growth. She serves as an advocate for local businesses and works with the current team to continue enhancing BVEP’s mission to keep, grow and attract jobs and investment to the Boise Valley. She also works on business attraction project aimed at assisting companies that wish to open or expand in the Boise Valley.
Prior to joining BVEP, Charity spent 10+ years in Human Resources at Micron Technology, Inc. Her tenure at Micron included roles in recruiting, organizational effectiveness and talent acquisition strategy. She has experience in both domestic and global talent acquisition with skill sets ranging from manufacturing to specialized engineering. Charity is passionate about improving her community, empowering people and improving organizations.
Charity was raised in Idaho, graduating from Meridian High School. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Communication and a Master of Arts degree in Communication both from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Jana Jones, Director, Economic Development Services
Jana Jones has been with the Boise Valley Economic Partnership since 2006, and is currently the Director of Economic Development Services. During her tenure with BVEP, she has worked on a variety of business attraction projects, assisted with local business expansions and on advocacy issues.
Prior to joining BVEP, Jana worked in the economic development field at the State of Idaho Department of Commerce as Marketing Manager for the Economic Development Division. She has also spent time in the private sector, including 12 years as President and Owner of Silver Creek Inc., a regional distributor of fresh produce in Idaho and Utah.
Jana is also involved with a variety of organizations, including the Idaho Economic Development Association, where she is currently Co-Chair of the Education Committee. She is also on the Executive Board of SWI-MA, Southwest Idaho Manufacturing Alliance, A Fellow through Industrial Asset Management Council, a 2013 Idaho Business Review Woman of the Year nominee, and one of 2015 North America Top 50 Economic Developers through Consultant Connect.
An Idaho native, Jana is a graduate of the University of Idaho with a double major in Public Relations and Advertising.

Lisa Holland, Marketing & Content Manager
Lisa joined the Boise Valley Economic Partnership team in April 2011 as Marketing Specialist. In this role, among her many responsibilities is to increase the resources and depth of information available to businesses, contacts and the community. In addition, she is also responsible for assisting in project management, stakeholder and community relations, as well as coordinating many of BVEP's events.
Lisa is a graduate of Northwest Nazarene University (NNU), with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in management. Not content to just study while in school, she also managed the Students in Free Enterprise student organization, and held a variety of internships including Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce and Albertsons/Supervalu.
Prior to joining the BVEP team, Lisa was a sales assistant with Delta Dental of Idaho.

Ryan Wallace, Economic Development Administrative Assistant
Ryan Wallace joined the Boise Valley Economic Partnership in July of 2015 as the Economic Development Administrative Assistant. Ryan’s role is to keep the office organized as he manages the database, assists with event planning, and works to enhance office efficiency.
Ryan moved to Boise to become a Bronco at Boise State University, where he is currently pursuing a degree in Business Economics. He was born and raised in California, but has fallen in love with Boise because of it’s amazing proximity to the outdoors and its rich culture.

Todd Cooper, 2017 Board Chairman
Todd Cooper is a Senior Vice President and Idaho Region Business Banking manager for Wells Fargo. He is responsible for the Business Banking team serving Idaho Region businesses with annual revenues up to $20 million, and Specialty Units serving governments, non-profits and professionals. The team is housed in five Business Banking offices across the Idaho Region.
Cooper is a 27-year veteran of Wells Fargo and has served in a number of positions including commercial loan officer, Business Banking Manager for the Treasure Valley, and Western Division Sales Manager for the Auto Finance Group where he led a team of regional sales managers in nine western states. He also currently chairs the Recruiting and Hiring committee of the national Business Banking Diversity and Inclusion council.
Cooper earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and master’s degree in business administration from Idaho State University. He also is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School and the American Bankers Association’s National Consumer Finance School.
An active community volunteer, Cooper is a board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ada County, Boise Valley Economic Partnership and Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the leadership board for the College of Business and Economics at Idaho State University.
Jessica Flynn, Red Sky Public Relations, Strategic Advisor

Karena Boesel, Business Development
Karena Boesel has been with the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce since 1999. She has been recognized by the ACCE Circle of Champions several years in a row for the top 10 in number of new sales and dollar value of new sales. In her current position as VP of Membership, Karena oversees the Chamber’s membership. Karena also works to assist the Boise Valley Economic Partnership in bringing in new members.
Karena received her B.A. in Marketing from Boise State University. She has been recognized as one of Idaho’s “Accomplished Under Forty” and “Woman of the Year” by the Idaho Business Review. The national Chamber organization ACCE awarded her as one of the “40 Under 40: Rising Stars of the Chamber World”.
Karena continues to stay actively involved in his community and currently serves as the Vice President of the Idaho Botanical Garden Board of Directors, a Boise Library Ambassador, Community Advisor for the U of I.
Karena is an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys all that Idaho has to offer.

Sarah J. Cortez, Business Development
Sarah Cortez has been with the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce since 2012 as an account manager. Sarah's role is to increase membership opportunities for the Chamber as well as the Boise Valley Economic Partnership.
Prior to working at the Chamber, Sarah spent 11 years in radio, television and digital media sales. Sarah was also a member of the Chamber’s Ambassador Committee before joining the staff.

Paul Fleming, Business Development
Paul Fleming joined the Chamber of Commerce sales team after a 20 year career in the food and beverage industry. 14 years with Albertsons grocery stores and 6 years with Craig Stein beverage as a sales representative. Paul is from Washington state and has lived as far south as Texas and laid his roots here in Boise in 1991. He is an avid cyclist, skier and loves to be outdoors camping with his Beautiful wife and 3 children. Paul brings to the chamber his passion for the Boise valley and his energetic positive personality.
