The Competitive Edge Campaign Launches
The Competitive Edge Initiative is a five year, $4.0 million regional economic growth initiative to benefit the Boise Valley Region, including the immediate metro area: counties of Ada, Boise, Canyon, Gem, and Owyhee and all communities therein. It is a bold, focused, and coordinated private/public partnership, created and coordinated by the Boise Valley Economic Partnership (BVEP), a division of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce (BMCC). With a number of strong community supporters, BVEP is excited to help ensure that the next five years are prosperous for the entire valley. Some of the community members and local business leaders have said:
"Like most businesses, economic development is a competitive market and it will take a team effort to be successful including the cooperation of the State of Idaho, local municipalities and private/public business." — Mark Tidd, TitleOne Corporation
"Business is either growing or dying" — Steve Appleton, Micron Technology, Inc.
"Regional teamwork is the only way to compete. The Boise Valley Economic Partnership (BVEP) is all about promoting teamwork and supporting others." — Doug Armstrong, KTVB News Group
With the support of the Valley's communities, local business leaders, and the passion of the BVEP staff, we anticipate that the next five years will bring prosperity and growth for the area.
