Guardian Survival Gear to Open New Distribution Facility

Press Release
Guardian Survival Gear to open new Distribution Facility in Boise, ID

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - September 17, 2012
BOISE, Idaho – Emergency preparedness company Guardian Survival Gear is consolidating its operations and relocating to the Boise Valley to enable and sustain future company growth.  The company previously managed their office out of Fallbrook, California and their warehouse operations from Ogden, Utah.

Guardian is a multi-million dollar wholesale importer, manufacturer and distributor of emergency preparedness products. Founded by Daniel Kunz in 2005, Guardian Survival Gear is focused on helping people better prepare for emergency situations.
Guardian selected the valley for its new distribution facility and office support. The Boise office will house the company's sales team, leadership and primary warehouse distribution for their wholesale business.  The Boise Valley Economic Partnership (BVEP), City of Boise and the Idaho Department of Commerce and Department of Labor are proud to welcome Guardian Survival Gear to the Valley.
Guardian’s Chief Executive Officer Justin Evans selected the Boise Valley because of its low cost of business, friendly environment and it being a location that accommodated a variety of recreation activities.
Evans explains, “We have been overwhelmed by support and enthusiasm given to us by the local community and by organizations like BVEP and the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce.  The support and outreach has been tremendous.  We are pleased to call Boise the global headquarters of our growing company.”
Guardian worked with Colliers International to select a warehouse facility off Federal Way that they plan to start utilizing by November of 2012.  Within their first year of operation in Boise, the company anticipates hiring up to 20 employees with rapid plans for growth over the next five years.
CEO Justin Evans intends to become involved in the local community by helping the entire Boise Valley become better prepared.  As Evans adds, "We believe that 'Everyone needs a Guardian' and our devotion to that belief has brought us to the place we are today."
