BVEP Partners with Olympic Gold Medalist Kristin Armstrong and Joe Savola

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - November 1, 2012

Boise, IDAHO – The Boise Valley Economic Partnership is partnering with gold medalist Kristin Armstrong and her husband, entrepreneur Joe Savola, to showcase the spirit and potential of the Boise area.

Kristin Armstrong has two Olympic Gold Medals in the Time Trial (2008, 2012), two World Titles, five National Championships and is the most decorated female cyclist in US history.

“Kristin and Joe have traveled the world and they put down their roots here for a reason,” said Clark Krause, BVEP executive director. “It’s because of the people, the lifestyle, the communities and the opportunity. The stories we want to share about our Valley resonate with their values – stories of entrepreneurial passion, succeeding despite the odds and pursuing a vision.”

"Being an advocate of the Boise Valley is what I do every day," said Kristin Armstrong. "This is a natural partnership for us. We get to help make an impact in the community that we love.”

As part of the partnership, Kristin and Joe will be featured in BVEP’s promotional materials sharing why the Boise Valley works for their family and their company, K-EDGE Cycling Solutions.  The couple will participate in recreation-technology focused events and trade shows alongside BVEP and meet with select companies considering relocating or expanding in the Boise Valley.
