New SYKES Office in Boise

Boise Metro Chamber Welcomes New SYKES Office to Boise

For Immediate Release: July 9, 2015

BOISE, ID: The Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Boise Valley Economic Partnership would like to welcome Sykes Enterprises, Incorporated to the Boise Valley. SYKES will open a new customer support center in Boise.

Sykes Enterprises, Incorporated has leased building #8 on the HP Campus and is in the process of hiring its first wave of employees for its customer support center. SYKES will hire more than 300 employees by the end of 2015, ramping up to 900 in 2016, and then potentially expanding in the future.

SYKES chose Boise without receiving any economic incentives and the company has been quick to get involved with the Boise community. SYKES will join the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce and their site manager, Dave Norwood, will represent SYKES on the Chamber’s Board of Advisors. SYKES is also partnering with the Wyakin Warrior Foundation and will present a $1,000 check to the charity this week.

“SYKES chose Boise because their executives understand the quality of our workforce and the business-friendly environment here in Idaho,” said Bill Connors, President & CEO of the Boise Metro Chamber. “With the infusion of payroll and economic activity into West Boise, this new office is great for that neighborhood. We appreciate the sense of community responsibility that SYKES has already demonstrated and we look forward to having them as part of the Boise Valley.”

SYKES is currently hiring and will hold a job fair on Wednesday, July 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the University of Phoenix, 1422 S Tech Ln, Meridian. SYKES will provide job opportunities for those looking for full-time work as well as college students or individuals who need flexibility in a job. SYKES is also currently hiring management and leadership roles for the Boise campus via their website.
