Terrell Takes Over as BVEP Chair

Elwood Kleaver passes the mantle of BVEP leadership to Dave Terrell, Washington Trust Bank

David Terrell, President of the Southern Idaho Region, Washington Trust Bank, is well qualified to chair the Boise Valley Economic Partnership (BVEP).  Terrell oversees the commercial lending groups, the retail banking team, and the overall bank development and representation in the marketplace for Washington Trust.

After fulfilling his one-year commitment as the Chairman of the Board and Executive Board of Directors for the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Terrell transitioned into his new role as the Chairman of the Boise Valley Economic Partnership beginning on January 1, 2011.

Terrell believes that, "A regional economic development organization is critical to growing local businesses, attracting outside investment, and bringing sustainable and high-paying jobs to our valley.  BVEP is the organization that acts as a single touch point of information for companies and projects looking at the Boise Valley as a place to do business."   Dave Terrell will work closely with Clark Krause and the BVEP team supporting efforts to engage stakeholders and public partners to strengthen the local economy through retention, expansion, and attraction efforts.

Dave is also an active community leader in various other civic, community and non-profit organizations. He served on the board of directors at SpurWing Country Club, the Treasure Valley Economic Development Council and FUNDSY. He is a member of the BSU Alumni Association and currently serves on the board of directors for the Treasure Valley March of Dimes.
