Outdoor Recreation
Bogus Basin Mountain Resort is just 16 miles from Boise and a few more from surrounding cities such as Nampa, Eagle and Caldwell. Bogus Basin hosts several winter activities, including cross-country and downhill skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing.
A short drive northeast, through a scenic stretch of Idaho, is world-renown Sun Valley. Directly north of the Boise Valley is the town of McCall featured in The New York Times. A few miles further north is Brundage Mountain Ski Area.
Elaborate trail systems for hiking, biking and Nordic skiing are found just about everywhere in Idaho. Snowmobiling, snowshoeing, kayaking, and fly fishing are just a few more outdoor recreational activities that can be enjoyed throughout the state and, in many cases, right outside Boise Valley’s backyard.
