The greater Boise area is teeming with substantial resources for existing high-tech companies and startups that might be interested in locating here. Check out the following Special Interest Groups for the resources you may need:

  • Idaho TechConnect – The state’s only market driven private-public organization that focuses solely on technology - its development, transfer and commercialization. Idaho TechConnect offers services in four broad areas: commercialization; raising capital; business teambuilding; networking.
  • TechHelp – Provides technical assistance, training and information to manufacturers throughout Idaho to strengthen competitiveness through product and process improvements.
  • Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry (IACI) – The state’s largest lobbying group for business and industry.
  • Idaho Small Business Development Center at Boise State University – The Center offers confidential no-cost business consulting and low-cost training to help small businesses and entrepreneurs get started and grow.
  • Boise State University Technology and Entrepreneurial Center – Offers startup and early-stage technology company entrepreneurs the expertise, networks and tools they need to succeed.
  • Eagle-Star Technology Corridor (ESTech) – Located just west of Boise, ESTech is a new collaborative region in southwest Idaho designed to attract technology-based companies between the emerging communities of Eagle and Star.
  • Workforce Development Training Programs offered by the Idaho Department of Labor. New businesses that locate in Idaho can apply for grant funding to receive $2,000 per new employee for specific job training, and up to $3,000 per new employee in rural areas.   • Center for Workforce Training at Boise State University – The Center, which operates out of the Selland College of Applied Technology at BSU, can put together custom training programs for businesses. The staff can travel to business locations to train your workforce.
  • Boise Angel Alliance: Helping to connect emerging companies with capital resources
  • Keritsu Forum: One of the largest networks of angel investors in North America having monetized over 130 companies with over $80 million in funding. Keritsu established a Boise/Sun Valley chapter in 2006.
  • Highway 12 Ventures: Investing in promising, emerging, start-up companies and providing resources to entrepreneurs.
  • Kickstand: Helping to pave the way for technology entrepreneurs in the Boise Valley.
  • CEED: The Center for Entrepreneurial and Economic Development is a new business incubator operated by the University of Idaho in Caldwell.
  • Idaho Small Business Solutions – A service of the Idaho Small Business Development Center at Boise State University, the web site has a wealth of information for people who want to start a small business.
