L.B. Foster Announces Plan To Relocate Northwest Plant Operations To Nampa, ID

Boise, ID (10/30/19) - The City of Nampa, Idaho Department of Commerce and Boise Valley Economic Partnership (BVEP) announce that L.B. Foster Company (the “Company”) (NASDAQ: FSTR), a leading manufacturer and distributor of products and services for transportation and energy infrastructure, and its wholly owned subsidiary CXT® Incorporated, will relocate its Spokane, Washington precast building manufacturing facility to Nampa, Idaho.

CXT is a national provider of highly customized, modular building and concrete infrastructure products with additional manufacturing operations in Hillsboro, Texas and Waverly, West Virginia. The Spokane facility plans to cease operations at the end of December 2019.

Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling said, “We are very pleased CXT has chosen to relocate their manufacturing operations to Nampa, Idaho. We are excited to support their workforce needs and trust any employees who may be relocating to our area enjoy our friendly community. On behalf of the City of Nampa, we welcome CXT and wish them much success in the future.”

When fully commissioned in early January 2020, the Nampa, Idaho facility will employ approximately 80 people. “We are excited to join the Treasure Valley business community and are looking forward to developing strong strategic alliances throughout the region for years to come,” commented Steve Burgess, President, CXT, Incorporated.

The purpose-built plant is situated on 10 acres with 79,000 sq. ft. dedicated for manufacturing, and 5,000 sq. ft. for offices and employee areas. Idaho Department of Commerce Director Tom Kealey said, “It has been a pleasure working with CTX, Boise Valley Economic Partnership, City of Nampa and Canyon County to bring new jobs to Idaho.”

Manufacturing is one of several target industries within the focus of Boise Valley Economic Partnership’s job attraction efforts. Adding these jobs to the Boise Metro helps to support the diversification of the regional economy.
