The Boise Metro is situated in the southwestern corner of Idaho – an area that is seemingly secluded on a map, yet efficiently connected in reality.

Boise Airport is easy to get to and painless to travel through. Boise Metro businesses that need aerial connectivity are supported by seven major airlines with nonstop flights to 25 cities and counting.

Once you’ve landed, getting around the metro is uncomplicated. The major interstate serving the Boise Metro is I-84, running through Boise, Meridian, Nampa and Caldwell. Daily commutes are easy for the Boise Metro’s population with federal highways 20, 26, and 30 and state highways 21, 44 and 55 providing access to communities across the Valley.

On I-84 a typical commute from Caldwell to downtown Boise takes about 30-45 minutes and typical commute from Meridian to downtown Boise takes about 15-30 minutes. Our local bus system, Valley Regional Transit, has routes serving Caldwell to Boise. Two carpool programs, Commuteride and Share the Ride operate throughout the Boise Metro.

What about Logistics?

Across Idaho, There are 50 motor freight companies traveling five interstates, 20 U.S. highways and 30 state highways. More than 1,600 miles of rail line runs through Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe connect Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. They are aided by the state’s regional line and 6 short line railroads. Annually, the rail system transports over 11 million tons of freight.
